Carol Joyce Lange

Carol Joyce Lange, 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior in the morning hours of March 06, 2023. She was at her home in Sparta, Michigan with her two youngest daughters by her side. Carol’s hobbies and interests included spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, crochet, baking, and in her later years she devoted most of her time and energy to photography. She enjoyed long walks at Pickerel Lake, Paul Henry Trail, Huff, Millennium and Riverside Parks, while photographing Michigan birds and all the nature scenes where she saw beauty. Carol is preceded in death by her father and mother, George and Miriam Lange; her daughter, Mylynda Jean Catherine Fultz- Holmes; and her brother, Charles Lange. Carol is survived by her daughters, Amy Denise Nowicki (Gerald), Marcy Lynn Hoste (Chuck), Mylynda’s husband (Brian); eight grandchildren: Kevin Nowicki (Kirstyn), Kaitlyn Nowicki, Tyler Holmes (Laura), Benjamin Nowicki (Christina), Emily Poole (Kyle), Brandon Holmes (Ellie), Hailie Hoste, April Hoste; and five great grandchildren: Tristen, Hank, Nora, Ellie, and Austin, sisters Eileen Miller (Dale), Vivian Petree (John), brothers Doug Lange, and Roger Lange (Joan); and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, March 9, at 2 pm at Magnify Baptist Church, 4162 Hunsberger Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, 49525, with Rev. Ben Phebus officiating. Private burial will take place at Blythefield Memory Gardens. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
