Carol (Molenkamp) Hoogstra, age 73, of Kentwood, passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Carol was a loving wife, grandma, and the best great-grandma who was treasured and adored by her family. She was known for her great sense of humor and found joy on a sunny day spent on the golf course or fishing on the lake. Always placing others before herself, she lived with quiet strength, unconditional love, and unwavering loyalty to her husband and family. Her greatest legacy lives on through those she loved so deeply and through the faith that guided her life.

She was preceded in death by her son, Troy Hoogstra; her parents, Duke and Helen Molenkamp; parents-in-law, John and Phyllis Hoogstra; sister-in-law, Connie Molenkamp. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Hook; her son, Jeff Hoogstra; Troy’s wife, Alicia Hoogstra; grandchildren, Kelly Newland, Katey and Jesse Boven, Tristen Settle; her great-granddaughters, Isabella and Eloise Boven; brother, Lynn Molenkamp; her dear friend, Rose Grzeskowiak; loving nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at noon on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Ada Bible Church (Kentwood Campus), 2045 68th St. SE, Caledonia, with Pastor Ben Vaught officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family from 11 am - 12 pm prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
