Carol Heuvelman

Carol Jean (Vanden Brink) Heuvelman, age 93, of Allendale, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Ken and Carol lived in Hamilton 4.5 years before moving to Allendale. Carol was a piano teacher and organist at Allendale Reformed Church. She graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School (48) and Sherwood Music School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth Heuvelman; brother, Donald Vanden Brink; and sister, Joan and Bill Sturrus. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jack and Judy Heuvelman of Brighton, MI, Jill and Craig Bowles of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Sara and Mark Zuerner, Kenneth and Carrie Heuvelman, Angela and Scott Scheibel, Sophia Bowles; great-grandchildren, Taylor Zuerner, Pierce Zuerner, Jude Zuerner, Carson Heuvelman, Owen Heuvelman, Sarah Scheibel, Jacob Scheibel; sisters-in-law, Shirley Vanden Brink, Marcia De Jonge; and many loving, nieces, nephews and cousins. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Allendale Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Words of Hope.
