Carol Lynne Diekevers, age 86, of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 1, 2026.

Carol was a 1957 graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School. She was a gifted pianist, a talented artist who enjoyed painting, and found great joy in gardening. Carol faithfully served as a longtime member and volunteer at Eighth Reformed Church, where her quiet dedication and servant’s heart touched many lives.

Above all, Carol was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She treasured time with her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Bernie “June” Diekevers. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tom and Patti Diekevers, Sherry and Mike Butterfield, Merrie and Doug Reamsma; grandchildren, Joe and Kristin, Sarah and Matt, Sam and Danielle, Seth and Serafina, Luke and Kaylee, Levi and Mary, Lisa and Bryan, Dave and Amy, Emily and Jonathan, Jared and Brandy; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene Paauwe; sisters-in-law, Lillian Diekevers, Marilyn Diekevers, Pearl Diekevers, Delores Diekevers, Sharon Morren; many nieces and nephews; and her circle of special longtime friends. 

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Harry Koops officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Eighth Reformed Church. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at Sheldon Meadows for the loving care given to Carol.
