Carol Ann Peasley

August 28, 1937 ~
April 13, 2021

Carol Ann Peasley, age 83, of Caledonia, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Richard; her parents, Josephine and Rene Stegehuis. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Lori and John TenHopen, Douglas and Lea Peasley; grandchildren: Johnny Richard, Nick, Hanna, Christian, Makena, A.J., Nathan, and Blake; sister, Maureen Glemboski. Carol’s greatest joy was to be surrounded by her family. She enjoyed family dinners, especially Thanksgiving which she might celebrate several times a year. Carol worked for Kmart for over 25 years as the personnel manager. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading romance novels, and watching soap operas, even in foreign languages, well into the night. She also could be found playing card and video games on the computer. Carol was steadfast in meeting with her sister for lunch and getting her nails and hair done weekly. Carol converted to Catholicism later in life and was devoted to her faith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday 10 am at St. John Vianney Church 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming with Fr. John Vallier presiding. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 5 to 8 pm, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Caledonia) 616 E. Main St. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to West Michigan Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

We were in a prayer/discussion group with Carol and Dick several years ago through Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. They were a delight to all of us in their sincerity and love of their faith. We send our love and sympathy to their family in their sorrow, and pray that soon they will find joy and peace knowing that now their parents/grandparents are rejoicing together seeing God face-to-face. To a wonderful person and a great aunt. I enjoyed traveling back to GR from my military times and afterward and meeting up for dinner and visits with you and Uncle Dick. I will always remember those ti.es.
