Carol A. Compton

Carol Compton, aged 77 of Kentwood, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rhoda Francis Malroit; grandson, Jason; and great-grandson, Josiah. She is survived by her four daughters, Becky Compton, Beverly (Tony) Townsend, Vanessa Leer, Tonya Compton; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Carol will be held Saturday at 11:30 am at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:30 am until the time of the service. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

I worked at the crowne plaza with Carol for 8 years. I was in my late 20's and with my mom gone she always was there to give me great advise as a mom and friend. She was a hard worker up to her retirement and fun to work with. Miss her.
