Carmen Villarreal Tijerina

Carmen Villarreal Tijerina, age 65, of Wyoming, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 19, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Tijerina, Sr.; parents, Juan and Sirila Villarreal; sister, Bertha Hernandez. She will be dearly missed by her children, George Jr. (Graciela), Petra T. (Rudy III) Najar, Estelle T. (Javier) Rodriguez, Juanita C. T. (Jose) Cerda; thirteen grandchildren, George III, Letticia, Mercedez, Dominic, Rudy IV, Rachel, Amanda, Andrea, Javier Jr., Ellie, Sirila, Micaela, Lorena; one great granddaughter, Aryanna; sister, Lupita Villarreal; many nieces and nephews.  Carmen was a faith-filled, loving woman who adored her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed caring for others and was a dedicated servant of the Lord. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday 10:00 am at St Joseph the Worker, 3138 Birchwood SW, Wyoming with Fr. Ted Kozlowski and Fr. Steve Cron Celebrants. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with a prayer vigil at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30pm.
