Carla, was my nurse for my pregnancies, and I had the pleasure of then being able to work with her. She was always kind and smiling, she was a blessing to have known her. My condolences to her family, friends and co-workers.

Carla was the nurse at my doctors office through all 3 of my babies and before/in between. We had many great conversations about kids and life and I always looked forward to seeing her (I even scheduled my appointments on the days I knew she was there) her light shined bright and always with love. even just knowing her as my nurse, she made an amazing impact on my life that will never be forgotten.

My wife and daughter were both recipients of her great care and spoke very highly of her. There was my wife's regular care and then cancer treatment, and my daughter's two pregnancies and birth of her children. I'm so sorry she is lost to her family and the world.

I am so saddened by this tragic loss of one of the most joyful, generous people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. I worked with Carla for over ten years, and I cannot think of a single day that she didn't have a smile on her face. I will miss her dearly. My heart goes out to her family.

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to all of Carla's family. For right now there's no detour around grief, no shortcut through mourning. However, 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, "... power beyond what is normal ", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget, but it means we recover. We recover because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28, "... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Jesus was referring to the resurrection, this is our amazing hope! The Bible describes our hope as an anchor. Just like an anchor stabilizes a ship, our hope stabilizes us, keeps us from feeling a sadness that's overwhelming. 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, "... the God of all comfort ". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort be your comfort now during this time of sorrow.
