Caralina “Caroline” Stewart

Caralina “Caroline” Stewart, aged 71 of Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary DiPiazza, Francis Spica; brothers, Frank DiPiazza, James DiPiazza; and son-in-law, Joseph Kurek. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Bill; children, Todd (Patricia) Stewart, Melissa Kurek; grandchildren, Emily, Alaina, and Darrin; great-grandchild, Layla; brothers and sisters, Josephine Johnson, Rose Peacock, Jerone (Fred) Swoveland, Angelo DiPiazza, Jack DiPiazza, Mariano “Mike” (Jeanette) DiPiazza, Joseph (Mary) DiPiazza, John (Joan) DiPiazza; and numerous nieces and nephews. Caroline was very grateful for the support and care that her sister and best friend, Jerone, provided to her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 733 Bridge Street NW, Grand Rapids, with Fr. Daniel Schumaker presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming and also at the church on Wednesday from 10-11 am prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
