HAWKINS- Byron "Bruce" Hawkins of Rockford, MI born February 25,1939 went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 22, 2015 after a quiet battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and his best Four-legged friend, Choco Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Jeanne and Five children: Jeff Hawkins of Oxford, OH, David Hawkins of Oxford, OH, Tina (Brian) Scott Of Harvard, IL, Tammy (Ron) Ducharme of Rockford, MI, James (Carrie) Hoffman of Lowell, MI. Eight Grandchildren: Sam Hawkins, Spencer Hawkins, Luke Dawson, Grace Dawson, Ronnie Ducharme, Abby Ducharme, August Hoffman, Annabel Hoffman.A brother, Melvin (Mary) Hawkins of Bloomington, IN. A sister, Beverly Linderman of Decatur, IN. A brother-in-law, Joe Morman of Continental, OH. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Hawkins, his mother, Edna Hawkins, his son-in-law, Mark Dawson, and his brother-in-law, Duane Linderman. A special thank you to his hospice care team and to all his very special friends at Timber's Restaurant.Cremation has already taken place. A celebration of his life will be at a later date.
