Remembering Bruce Posthuma

Bruce Allen Posthuma, age 67, of Jenison passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Joan Posthuma; sister-in-law, Nina Posthuma; brother-in-law, Rick Sullivan. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Eileen; daughters, Barb and Tony Jones, Kim Posthuma; grandchildren, Alicia, Deaven, Connor, Addisyn, Wyatt; great-grandson, Deaven Jr.; brothers, Mike and Chris Posthuma, Mark Posthuma; sister, Sue (David Vogel) Sullivan; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Bruce retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Monday, November 25, 2019 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from 2-4 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.

I am just seeing this and am saddened to see that Bruce has passed. I spoke with him about a week before and he seemed like he was doing better. Bruce was a friend and classmate through our school years and stood with me at my wedding. Prayers for his family for the loss.

He was one of the good guys in my life. He lived across the street and we would meet up in his driveway and would have great talks and laughs. I will miss him a great deal. Prayers and comfort to his family.
