Britton Latham

Britton Latham, age 83, of Sparta, passed away and was reunited with his wife, Suzie on Saturday, December 7, 2025. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Tammie and Phil Spetoskey; grandchildren, Jacob, Kendra, Brandon, Nick, Amber Josie, Kelsey, Colby, and Breylyn; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Chet and Pat Latham II;  and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Susan Latham; and son, Britton “Britt” Latham II. Britton loved spending time in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed rustic camping with friends and family and was an active member of three clubs—Ivory Mountain, Brothers of the Wind, and the Howard City Conservation Club. Above all, he deeply loved his family. Known for his stubborn and ornery nature, he will be remembered with affection for the personality that made him uniquely himself. A celebration of life will be held in the spring. Burial will take place at Idlewild Cemetery at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
