Brian Schwab, age 56, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. He worked 23 years for the Grand Rapids Press. He maintained a great sense of humor even during his illness. He enjoyed old cars, playing guitar, cooking, playing video games with his boys, and most of all, spending time with his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Angela; sons, Dylan Malakai, Noah John; brothers, Terry Schwab, Lee Lach, Bob Schwab; best friend, Marty Nickerson. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ed and Barbara Schwab; brother, John Schwab.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayland. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may consider the needs of the family.
