Upon learning of her death, we were saddened by the loss of a not only a great person but also a great friend. We had known Bonnie for over 45 years, from our time at GVSU until her retirement from DEQ. She always was up beat and had a smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed. Our sympathies to all of her family and relatives.

I knew Bonnie from the days she was racing her MGB. I always enjoyed talking to her. I think I spoke to her once after she retired from the DNR. I think she was invited to the VSCDA event at Grattan after her car was restored. I failed to catch up with her there. I have many fond memories of her.

Don, Ron and the rest of Bonnie’s family I am so saddened to hear of Bonnie’s passing. We had a wonderful chat last month. While we didn’t see each other often we picked up as if time hadn’t gone by at all. My Irish relatives still ask about her even though our trip there was nearly 40 years ago. She was loved by many in the Browne family. The world was a better place with her in it.

We were blessed to know Bonnie. She was a great 4-H leader, mentor and friend. She helped introduce our kids to friendly competition and encouraged them to learn and push themselves. She helped me grow while I was a 4-H leader. Bonnie was a caring and thoughtful person... and will be greatly missed!

I was sitting out on my front porch this morning and a bird flew over that I could not identify, so I grabbed my phone to call Bonnie and then I remembered. I no longer have my friend of over 35 years to call and chat with at any time or to visit with over a cup of tea. The loss of her friendship will leave a large hole in my life and I know in the lives of so many others. I am glad that her beloved ducks found homes as they meant so much to her, so thank you to the adoptees. Miss you Bonnie.

We are so saddened by the passing of our wonderful, caring and generous friend. Bonnie was the Poultry Leader for our 4-H club for many years. She loved the kids and had a wealth of knowledge about the birds she also loved. Her generosity with her time and talent was remarkable. We are so grateful for Bonnie's leadership and for her friendship. She touched and enriched the lives of so many people, especially the 4-H youth she loved. We will greatly miss her.

Our hearts are heavy for the loss of this incredible woman. Our love and thoughts go to every one of her cherished family members whom she loved dearly. The vacancies she has now left in our lives will never be replaced. I loved her stories and as she always commented...”to make a long story longer....”! The incredible burst of “HA” when she found something funny. A true Mother Earth spirit who loved all things birds. There would never be a better mama duck for her duck babies. Who knew ducks could live to be 15 yrs old or more even when they were blind and crippled. Bonnie, Rest In Peace. I love you dearly. Thank you for being my friend. I learned so much from you. I will miss our tea times, conversations and your ability to lift my spirits when down.
