Bonnie Hallas

Bonnie Jean Hallas, age 69, of Grand Rapids, peacefully went to be with her Lord Jesus on Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, George Hallas and Dorothy Zissler; her mother and step-father, Nancy and Richard Cavner; and her sister, Mary (Hallas) Brandow. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Jason and Stephanie Brandow, Robyn and Dwayne Porter, Jared Brandow and Nick Rafios, Charlene and Darrell Cobb; 13 grandnieces and grandnephews; and 8 great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Bonnie proudly served her country as a medic in the Army Reserves. She was employed at GM and retired to devote more time to her passion for horses, dogs, and family. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville.
