Bonnie Bowers

BOWERS-Bonnie Rae Bowers age 72, of Comstock Park, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Ray and their children, Deelayne (Michael) St. Clair Verdon, Lori Linden Palmer, Keith Michael Nelson, Scott Dennis Nelson, Brandon Ray Smith, Chris Ann (Mark) Lilly, Daniel Ray (Leah)Bowers, Cinthia Ann (Shane) Vesley; grandchildren, Taylor, Ryan, Zachary, Eric, Adam, Brittany, Cody, Kenndal, Brooklyn, Hunter, Cheyenne, Cassidy, Derrick, Noah, Nickolas, and Maleea and her brother, Michael (Karen) Waterman. Bonnie was preceded by a son, Brett Montgomery Smith. Bonnie worked at the GM plant on Alpine for 30 years. She belonged to the State and County Democratic Party, Grand Valley Iris Society, Unity Church of Grand Rapids, United Auto Workers Local 1231, Kent County Board of Election Canvassers, and Purple Lilacs Red Hat Society. Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, May 13 at Unity of Grand Rapids Church, 1711 Walker Ave. NW, Grand Rapids. Her family will greet relative and friends during the viewing time Sunday from 4 to 8PM at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont and one hour prior to the service at church on Monday..
