Beverly Lee Waters (Perkins)

Beverly Lee Waters (Perkins), aged 85 of Wyoming, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Trillium Woods. She was born in Grant, Michigan to Roy G. Perkins and Cecil Graham. She came to Grand Rapids at the age of 21 and shortly after married Francis C. Waters. In 2000, at the age of 70, she retired after 30 years of service from the Pump House. In later years, she enjoyed working on her yard and garden. Beverly was preceded in death by her son, Francis C. Waters Jr.; sister, Geneva (Midge) Barton; and brothers, Ortle Perkins, Thomas Perkins, Richard Eaton and Harry Eaton Jr. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Francis Sr.; daughters, Veronica Aungst, Kathleen (William) DeRuiter; eight grandchildren, David (Michelle) Waters, Bradey (Heather) Waters, Paul (Jennifer) Waters, Jerry (Kelley) Aungst, Samantha (Isaac) Simon, Sharla (Eric) Silk, Regina (Adam) Szymczak, Nicole DeRuiter; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (Loren) Schermerhorn and Marlena Califf of MI, Patricia Riggs of TX; and several sisters-in-law. Funeral services for Beverly will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Fr. Phil Shangraw officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8 pm and also on Monday from 10-11 am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice – Trillium Woods.
