Beverly Jean Wood, age 62, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully and was gathered in the arms of her Savior, Jesus, on Friday, October 8, 2021. Bev was a faithful and dedicated employee of General Motors. She had a loving and caring heart, was devoted in her faith, and was a light to many. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Wiersema; father-in-law, David D. Wood; and brother-in-law, Michael Wood. Bev will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 35 years, David A. Wood; mother, Sylvia Wiersema; sisters, Cindy Hilbrand, Judy and Kelly Glass, Mary and Mark Kroft; mother-in-law, Norma Wood; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Nadine Courtnay, Mishelle and Mark Schoen, Gary and Stacey Wood; special friend, Bob Chmiel; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Apostolic Faith Church, 4501 56th St. SW, Grandville with Rev. Scott Heidema officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Samaritan’s Purse.
