Betty Venlet

Betty Venlet, age 86, of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her son, Bruce; brother, John Peck.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Steven and Pamela Venlet, Jon and Joan Venlet, Faith and Tim Nixon, Erika and Stacey Johnson; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.  Betty enjoyed crocheting, especially items for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE,  with Rev. Terry Frazine officiating.  Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.  The family wishes to express their gratitude to staff of Vista Springs-Northview and Kindred Hospice for their loving care of Betty.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to God’s Kitchen.
