Betty Mae Ritsema

​On May 8, 2024, Betty (Faber) Ritsema, age 84, of Jenison, breathed her last breath on this side of Heaven and opened her eyes to see her Lord and Savior. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Alvin, for 60 years who preceded her in death. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She is survived by her children: Craig and Lori Ritsema, Doug and Vonnie Ritsema, Ellen and Steve Kloosterhouse, Faythe and Randy DeBoer; grandchildren: Amy and David Johnson, Rebecca Ritsema, Emily and Nate Lipski, David and Stephanie Ritsema, Jason and Kate Ritsema, Jenna and Jordan Blauwkamp, Joe and Whitney Ritsema, Zachary and Courtney Kloosterhouse, Aaron and Paige Kloosterhouse, Lindsay and Ryan Hoek, Alex and Lauren DeBoer, Joshua and Monica DeBoer, Madelyn DeBoer; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters: Lorraine Kuipers, Greta VanderHeide; extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday, May 11, from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
