Betty Livezey

Betty Louise (Mickam) Livezey, (Originally from Grand Rapids, MI.) age 69, passed away on March 15, 2017 in Sebring, Fla.; after fighting her second valiant battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents Merrill and Mary Mickam; sister, Marilyn (Mickam) Obuchowski; and brother, Charlie Mickam (Atlanta, GA). She is survived by her husband of nearly 48 years Michael Livezey (Sebring, Fla.); brother Richard (Lorie) Mickam (Titusville, Fla.), son, Kevin Livezey (Sioux City, IA); son, Mark (Erica) Livezey (Lexington, KY); grandsons - Lucas, Beauen, and Daxton (Lexington, KY); and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a graduate of Creston High School and attended Davenport University. She worked for both Consumers Energy Corporation and Keys for Kids Ministries. In 2012, she retired after spending nearly 20 years with Keys for Kids Ministries. Betty was a selfless person who spent her entire life ministering to others. She was always active in her local church playing the piano, teaching, and mentoring. Additionally, she loved to exercise the grace of hospitality in her home and volunteer at the local Christian school. Betty was loved and admired by all that knew her. She possessed a quiet strength that was anchored in a deep faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her presence will be dearly missed; until our glorious reunion in heaven. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Belmont, 1601 Post Dr. NE., with Rev. Cliff Owens officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00AM Saturday until time of service. Private Family graveside service to follow.
