Betty Eileen Hornick

Betty Eileen (Modreske) Hornick passed away to be with her Lord early in the morning of December 1st in her sleep, shortly after her 97th birthday. She was born in 1924 in Moline, MI. She is preceded in death by her husband Harry; parents, Frank and Eva; baby born in 1947; siblings, Dorothy and Roger; and grandson, David. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Patricia), Michael, Bryan; grandchildren, Tracy (Scott), Teresa, Michael, Nick, Peter (Jaime), Anna (Josh); nine great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann (Theron); sister-in-law, Lorraine; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She belonged to Pennellwood Church of God for over 50 years. She made thousands of mittens and afghans for others. Funeral services will be held Monday 11am at Pennellwood Church of God with Pastor Jeff Ransom officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service for visitation.
