Bertha VanDyke

VAN DYKE - Mrs. Bertha Van Dyke, aged 85 of Kentwood, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 14, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Van Dyke, her daughter-in-law, Karen Van Dyke and her brothers, Garrit and Arthur Ebbeling. Surviving are her children, John (Rose) Van Dyke, Marcia (Randy) Stewart, Doris (Richard) Dill, Richard (Sally) Van Dyke, Calvin (Pam) Van Dyke; grandchildren, Olivia (Matt) Huisman, Angie (Scott) Van Wyk, Andrew and Jeremy Stewart, Megan, Melissa and Rory Dill, Matthew Van Dyke, Cody and Cassie Van Dyke; great grandchildren, Levi, Reuben and Silas Huisman, Henry, Meleah and Lucas Van Wyk, Mason Stewart; sister, Gertrude Huisman; sisters-in-law, Carol Ebbeling, Jane Ebbeling; brother-in-law, Abe (Dean) Van Dyke; sisters-in-law,Henrietta (Leonard) Tellinghuisen, Alwena Dolieslager, Doreen Van Dyke; several nieces and nephews. Bertha was involved in missions at Ideal Park CRC many years ago, she graduated from RBI and until recently was an active member of a prayer group with RBI Alumni. She was a long time active member of Immanuel CRC and taught many bible study groups. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 33 Elwell SW, with Rev. David Adams officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. and one hour prior to the service at church.
