Benancio Berlanga

Benancio Berlanga, age 82, of Grand Rapids, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was preceded in death by his brother; Jesus, and nephew; Enrique. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Guadalupe, his children; Pedro (Connie), Maria (Thomas), Federico (Chela), Ruben (Carolina), Sara, Lupe, Ramon, Rosa (Florentino), Juan (Luz), 21 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother; Mannuel (Amalia), many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Benancio was a dedicated, loving, warm, caring husband, father and grandfather. He was very proud of his family and enjoyed gathering with them. Benancio was a hardworking man who instilled that same work ethic in his family. He retired from Grand Rapids Alloy after 23 years of service. He also enjoyed farming and caring for the fruits and vegetables. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on at 11 am on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 250 Brown St. SE, Grand Rapids, with Fr. Luis Garcia officiating. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 2-6 pm at the church.
