Becky Jo Mabin

After 62 years, Becky Jo Mabin (Carr), of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 at The Laurels in Hudsonville, MI.  She is survived by her children, Timothy (Jr.) and Amy Mabin, and Rory Mabin and Anthony Giaccone; grandchildren, Rosalie Mabin, and Rexley Mabin; brothers, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, Larry Carr Jr., John and Cameron Carr, and Lee Armstrong; step-mother, Joyce Carr.  Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Gala Carr, and sister, Kimberly Armstrong.  Becky was a fiercely independent woman who loved deeply and spoke her mind.  She lived an adventurous life after leaving home prior to having her children.  She left Grand Rapids to travel the country for several years including stops in San Diego and Miami.  Once she returned to Grand Rapids she met the father of her children, and gave birth to Timothy Jr. and Rory 14 months apart.  Early in her children’s lives she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She leaves behind a legacy of loving those around her with her whole heart, and having raised two children who will carry her memory on in life as they work to exert their influence on the world.  Becky will be remembered and missed by many.  The funeral service will be Friday, July 16th at 11am at Resurrection Life Church in the Chapel (5100 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418, entrance K).  Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday before the service from 10-11am.  Lunch will be served after the service from 12-1pm for family and friends.
