Remembering Barbara Vissers

Barbara Vissers, age 63, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 25, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Potter. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Phillip Vissers; their children, Crystal (Aaron) Riley, Joshua Vissers, and Samuel Vissers; her mother, Patricia Kamerad; her brothers, Bob (Barb) Potter, Bruce (Johna) Potter, Brian (Lisa) Potter. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at Grand Rapids First Church in the Prayer Chapel (2100 44th St. SW, Wyoming) with Pastor Kerry Watts officiating. Interment will be held prior to the memorial service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Set Free Ministries.

Barb is my "bestest Forever Friend". She held me accountable for my faith. I will miss her beautiful voice and smile. She loved family immensely and called them her "Rock" during this illness. I remember her telling me of the fun family western states vacation/camping that they had. And I will always carry her memories in my heart and head. We can be assured that her last breath on earth was followed by her first breath in Heaven. Hugs to the family!

Barb is my "bestest Forever Friend". She held me accountable for my faith, and cared deeply for her family and others. Her concern is that each of us needs to love the Lord and abide in His Word. While we might not understand her passing, God's love for her was immense...such that her last breath on Earth was followed by her first breath in Heaven. Heaven IS her home now. Love to all of her family, joining you in the pain of her passing. Yet rejoicing that she is beaming in Heaven.
