Barbara Unger

Barbara Lou Unger, age 65, unexpectedly went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, after suffering from accidental injuries. She was born on June 30, 1951 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to her parents, James and Laura Patricia Robertson. In 1969, she married the love of her life Gregory Allen Unger. In her later years, she enjoyed being with her grandchildren and scrapbooking with her friends. Those who knew her loved her outgoing personality, her love for life and her smiling face as she served coffee at Spectrum Health for over 24 years. She will be deeply missed by her mother and her husband as well as her sons, Denny (Tracy) Unger, Steve (Judy) Unger, and Bill (Tammy) Unger; her grandchildren, Sophie, Isabel, Ryan, Megan, Madeline and Allen; her sisters, Laura (Gary) Unger, Connie (Don) DeWit, Cathy (Richard) Balsitis, Patti (Brian) Travis; her brothers, Richard (Teresa) Robertson, Joe Robertson, Gary (Samantha) Robertson; her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and her husband's family. Barb is preceded in death by her father, James Robertson, her sister, Kimmy and her brother, Robert. A memorial service will be held 3pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont with visitation from noon to 3pm.
