Barbara Maxim

Barbara Ann Maxim, age 91, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Barb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved her family and loved the Lord. She loved flowers, movies, birds, and spending time traveling. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Sr. M. Xaverine, Rose Jachim, Anne Kuzma, Marie Dochod, Cecilia Lowe, Josephine Gregory, Chet Matel, Anthony Matel, and Richard Matel. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Larry; children, Deborah (Steve) Lohan, Donald (Christine) Sobczak; grandchildren, Michael Lohan and Ryan Lohan; siblings, Dorothy Kant, Donald Matel; and many beloved nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at noon at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison with Fr. Colin J. Mulhall presiding. The burial will take place at Blendon Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
