LARSON - Mrs. Barbara "Barb" E. Larson, aged 67 of Middleville, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Lima; and grandma, Josephine Lima; sisters, Ann Marie Thrift and Laura Burton. Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Gary; children, Lisa Solomon, Andy (Lisa) Purvins; grandchildren, Justin (Amanda) Solomon, Amanda (Matt) Miner, Corey Solomon, Jordyn and Trevor Purvins; great granddaughters, Brianna and Jaclynn Solomon, Amanda and Matt's twins due in December; step-daughters and their families, Tracy (Michael) Adams, Christina (Tim) Raab; brothers, Charles (Karen), Peter (Becky) and Steven (Tammy) Lima; brother-in-law, Larry Burton; several nieces and nephews. Barb retired from AT&T after 27 years of service. She was a longtime member of St. Rose of Lima Parish. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM Thursday, November 3, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 805 S. Jefferson Ave., Hastings, with Rev. Msgr. Gaspar F. Ancona as celebrant. Her family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday from 6 to 8PM at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., and one hour prior to Mass on Thursday at Church. Prayers of the Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7:30PM. Private family interment at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or in memory of her sister Laura to the Michigan Chapter of Huntington's Disease.
