EVOLA-LA PENNA - Mrs. Barbara Evola-LaPenna, R.N. aged 69 of Grandville, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Michelina LaPenna; brothers, Anthony (Marion), and Joseph. She is survived by her husband, Donald Evola; sons, Timothy (Christina) Evola, Thomas Evola; grandchildren, Alicia, Baylee and Ellery; sisters, Angie (LaPenna) Baldus, Rose LaPenna, Rosalie (Gerald) Moore, Katharine Bignall, Joanne Dumont; brother-in-law, Angelo Evola; many special nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at St. Pius X, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW. The family will greet relatives and friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division and one hour prior to the Mass at church. Prayers of the Rosary will be recited 6:15 PM Friday at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
