Barbara L. Diephuis

Barbara Louise Diephuis, aged 65 of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Bert and Mary E. Diephuis and her husband, Jeff Hansen. She is survived by her siblings, Mary Katherine Diephuis Andree, Martha Ruth Diephuis Clark, Burton Roelof Charles Diephuis. Barb was born in South Haven and graduated from South Haven High School in 1970. She was an active member and very supportive of the American Legion D.W. Cassard Post 208. She was an active member of Orchard Hills Reformed Church. A private graveside with family and friends will be announced at a later date.

Barb was a wonderful friend of our family all her life. I will especially miss her joining my sisters and me for lunch in Grand Rapids in the summertime and also our long phone conversations. Barb was beautiful in her own unique way, spirited in conversation and particular in her views. She was important in my life as will be, now, my memories of her. My thoughts and prayers to her wonderful family.

Barb will be greatly missed by all of the Class of 70 of SHHS. Her presence at our class reunions has been enjoyable, enlightening, and entertaining. My deepest sympathy to her family.
