Barbara J. Arizola

Barbara Jean Arizola, age 77, of Grand Rapids, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 3, 2019. Barbara was a loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma who cherished her family. She was always there for whatever the need was, putting others before herself. Barbara was an amazing cook, preparing many wonderful dinners for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by Pedro Rivera Arizola, and her daughter-in-law, Sandra Arizola. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tim Arizola, Pedro Arizola, Rebecca Ramos, Jimmy and Melissa Arizola, Bernadino Arizola; her grandchildren, April Arizola, Lydia and Juan Alvarez, Lucila Ramos and Leonardo Parra, Flavio Ramos Jr., Kassandra Morgan, Julian Arizola, Simon Arizola, Alicia Arizola, Andrea Arizola, Sadie Arizola, Sarah Arizola, Joseph Arizola, and Nicole Llewelyn along with her three children; great-grandchildren, Javier Perez, Cito Rodriguez,  Saira Arias, Valentin Parra, Issac Parra, Noemi Parra, Xitlaly Alvarez, Farah Alvarez, Somara Ramos, Amelia Ramos, and one soon to arrive great-grandchild; great-great-grandchildren, Janelle Perez, Janney Perez; her siblings, Ethel Ruiz, Dorothy and Jose Feliciano, Pete Piper; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Bertha Arizola, Hortencia Arizola, Olivia Arizola, several loving nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville, with Father Steven Cron presiding.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
