Barbara “Barbie” Elaine Childs (Zemaitis), age 60, of Grand Valley in Tallmadge Township, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 25, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Zemaitis, Sr. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 35 years, Mike; her children, MaryJo and Adam Wilson, Jessica and Ben Sahlberg; her adored grandchildren, Luke, Matthew, Hailey, Caleb, Emily, and Carter; mother, Jessie Zemaitis (Schilthuis); brothers and sisters, Stanley and Judy Zemaitis, Mary and Keith Bergakker, Carol Vriesema, Mike and Barb Zemaitis, Larry Zemaitis, Tom Zemaitis, Bill Zemaitis, and Beverly Zemaitis; several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021, at 11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 6651 Scott St., Allendale, with Rev. Terry Slachter officiating. The burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, July 29, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and from 10-10:45 am on Friday at the funeral home.
