Arthur E. Rypma, age 87, of Grand Rapids passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lena Rypma; his brothers, Edward and James Rypma; wife, Elaine (Quint) Rypma; special son-in-law; Brian Brauer, Victor Sturgeon; great-grandson, Leonardo Mason; great-granddaughter, Lena Mason; and their uncle, Jack “Aaron” Swick. He is survived by his children, Alan (Susan) Rypma, Linda (Patrick) Ober, Susan Brauer, David (Seline) Rypma, and Karen (Steve) Fetterhoff; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, William Rypma; and several nieces and nephews. Per Arthur’s request cremation has taken place. A small family gathering will be held at a later date.
