Arthur Magennis

Arthur Irwin Magennis, age 87, of Wyoming, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, August 20, 2020. He was preceded in death by his son and daughter, Arthur, Jr., and Terri Jean. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Donna, his daughter, Tammy (Steve) Marafine, former in-laws; Mark Engstrom, Michael Cool, Tammy Eyer; grandchildren, Stile, Imari, Michael, Olivia, Ashley Lynn, Katie, Krissy, Christopher, Amy, Kaily; 16 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Arthur was a loving, caring, husband, father and grandfather who was dedicated to helping others. Arthur valiantly served his country in the US Army. He was a dedicated employee of General Motors for 31 and a half years. Arthur served his community as a Grattan Twp. firefighter, and a mounted patrol deputy for the Kent County Sheriff Department. In his early years, he was in charge of security at the Pantlind Hotel. He loved riding his Harley Davidson as well as amateur photography, taking pictures for various companies such as General Motors and Lear. Per Arthur’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Shriners Hospital.
