Arthur Jay Bushart, age 84, of Wyoming, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, surrounded by his family.   He proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War.  He loved to dance.  Art also loved woodcarving, hunting, and building rabbit hutches.  As an auto mechanic, Art also taught many years at the Wyoming Community Education.  

He will be lovingly remembered by girlfriend and caregiver, Diane Barnum; children: Deb Henrickson, Sue DeVries, Bob Bushart; former daughter-in-law, Tracy Brand; grandchildren: Chad Shea, Holly Shea, Ashley DeVries, Nikki Lipzinski, Courtney, Allison, Zach and Megan Bushart; great grandsons: Isaac Shea, Dominic and Oliver Lipzinski; special cousin, Max and Cherry Bruysschaard.  Art was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Bushart; his parents, 2 sisters and one brother.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  An honor guard presentation will begin the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with visitation following until 4:00 p.m.  Burial at Winchester Cemetery.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to American Legion Post #47 in Comstock Park, where Art was a member.
