Arlon D. VandenBosch, age 74, of Grandville, also known as Arch, Archie, “Big Guy”, Uncle Arch with his favorite title being Grandpa, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, October 9, 2021. We rejoice that he has met his Savior and Lord. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Brouwer. Arch will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Kathy; children, Jessica (Rick) Reiffer, Monica (Jim) Workman, Josh (Kami) VandenBosch, Benjamin (Katie) VandenBosch, 15 grandchildren; brothers and sister, Larry (Jan) VandenBosch, Char (Lonnie) Nelson, Mike (Kim) VandenBosch; and many nieces and nephews. He was born and raised in the small town of Edgerton, MN. After graduating from college, he proudly served in the Army. He sang in the Walker Brothers Quartet for many years. He loved the Vikings and a good card game. After retiring from Repco Lite Paint Co. he focused on golf, visiting his grandchildren, and making popcorn. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at South Grandville Christian Reformed Church, 4130 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with Rev. Dr. Daniel Mouw officiating. The burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, October 14, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
