Arletta Jean Berens, age 88, of Grandville, left her earthly body behind to spend eternity with her heavenly Father on Thursday, July 11, 2019. She loved her Lord, her family, and lived a full life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reinder and Johanna Meekhof; daughter-in-law, Carol Berens; grandson, Brian Berens, brother, William Meekhof; sisters, Julia Nielson, Emily Hoezee; sisters-in-law, Kathy Meekhof, Gloria Meekhof, Edith Meekhof. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 72 years, Jay Berens; children, Dennis and Gloria Berens, Garry and Carol Berens, Chuck and Joanne Berens, Rich and Rita Berens, Doug and Heather Berens, Curt and Val Berens, Lorie and Scott Wilson; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother, Roger Meekhof; brother-in-law, Gordon and Wilma Berens; sister-in-law, Mildred and Dan Ploeg; many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 3110 Barrett St. SW, Grandville, with Rev. Dale Fopma officiating. Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-5 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and also one hour prior to the service at church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
