Arizona “Zoni” Mae Unseld, age 84, formerly of Rockwood and Canadian Lakes, MI went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 28, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; siblings, Herbert and Julie Damron, John and Patricia Damron, Nellmona Mexico, James and Theresa Damron, and Gregory Damron; niece, Michele Cusson. Zoni will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kiersten and Randy VanderWest, Katrina and Jim Cunningham, Chuck Unseld; grandchildren: Kati and Ricky Sanford, Molly and Sam Wilson, Maegan and Isaac Riddle, Austin Unseld, Cole and Sidney Unseld; great-grandchildren, Evalynn, Emilia, Emmett, Charlie, Calvin, and a baby on the way; siblings, Donald and Cindy Damron, Joyce Damron, Andi Moore, Theresa and Steven Toth, and Tony Karto; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Zoni was a wise and godly woman, and many people came to her for counsel and advice. She was very involved with her church, Rockwood Christian and Missionary Alliance, where she led Bible studies, taught Sunday School, and whatever other ways she could be involved. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. with Pastor Jim Jeffery officiating. Burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 1 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to help Zoni’s granddaughter’s (Ricky and Kati Sanford) home in Papua New Guinea as they church plant.
