Kwekel, Arie Arie Kwekel, age 85, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arie and Gertrude Kwekel; his son, Larry Kwekel. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Judy; children, Diane Strobridge, Steven Kwekel, Douglas (Cheri) Kwekel, Sheryl Hammond, Lori Hammond, Robert (Mary) Kwekel, Jack Kwekel, Timothy (Barbara) Kwekel, Calvin (Meghan) Kwekel; many grandchildren; brother, Gary (Geraldine) Kwekel; sisters, Betty DeVisser, Emy Kamp; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Free Reformed Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday 12:30 pm at the Free Reformed Church, 950 Ball Ave., Grand Rapids, with Pastor Lawrence Bilkes, Sr. officiating. Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 11 am to 12:30 pm at the church prior to the service.
