Antoinette (Ann) Erffmeyer, age 98, died peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2015, and is now home with her Lord and Savior. She was born March 25, 1917 in South Holland, Illinois to Marienus and Antonia (DeYoung) Speyer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rev. Henry Erffmeyer, in 2004. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by all eight of her siblings and one infant grandson. She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Phil and Trudy Erffmeyer, Russ and Judy Erffmeyer, Drs. Marilyn and Bill Dahms, Harold and Nancy Erffmeyer, Rev. Gerry and Carol Erffmeyer, and Paul and Barbara Erffmeyer. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and their spouses, and 40 great grandchildren and their spouses. No doubt the biggest surprise in Ann’s life was when Henry told her that he felt the call to ministry, was selling his business in South Holland, and they were moving to Grand Rapids so he could attend Calvin College and Seminary. Ann faithfully supported her husband throughout his ministry as they served Christian Reformed churches in Hudsonville, Denver, CO, Cicero, IL, Grand Rapids, and Jenison. They retired in Hudsonville where they lived until Henry’s death, after which Ann moved to Sunset Village in Jenison, where she lived the past ten years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12:30 pm at Twelfth Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 7581 12th Ave., Jenison with Rev. Gerry Erffmeyer officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Association or Faith Hospice.

It was such an honor for me to attend the service for your mother. I have such good childhood memories of you living so close in Denver. Wow, just to see all the family members was a tribute to your mother and how everyone loved her. I really appreciated the words of Gerry as he helped us to imagine what it will be like to be in the presence of Jesus. All of you have been blessed with a solid heritage and I feel it has been a privilege for me and the Apols to have been touched by the Erffmeyers in our lives. My parents always held Rev & Mrs Erffmeyer in high esteem. Thank you Phil and Gerry for playing the Hallelujah Chorus - we had just a glimpse of heaven. May God Bless your family.

Erffmeyer Family--
I have fond memories of your mom as a "in charge mother" as she sat with you all in church in Cicero. Over the years I have been blessed to enjoy the friendship of Phil and Trudy. I have continued to hear about how God is using your family. Blessings to each of you as you celebrate the life of your mom. We know heaven is rejoicing at her homecoming. May you continue to know His comfort in the coming days. Ginny Van Til

Life may be interrupted here for a while, but we all look forward to the Resurrection. We'll all meet again. Carol, not sure if you remember me or not, but we worked together at Butterworth for a few years. You have our deepest sympathy and prayers.
