Anna Rose Masson (née Miklusicak), born on March 13, 1947, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on January 13, 2026, in the same city at the age of 78. Anna was a cherished member of her community, known for her readiness to assist at her church, family gatherings, and neighborhood events. Her joyous spirit made her beloved by children, whom she entertained tirelessly.
Anna's early education was completed at Townline Grade School, followed by Kentwood High School. She spent a significant portion of her career at Kmart in Weymouth, Massachusetts, managing the logistics of receiving, stocking, and shelving goods. She later briefly worked at a brokerage house before returning to Michigan to care for her aging mother.
During her time in Germany, she was a pre-school teacher and Anna played as the catcher on a fast-pitch softball team, sharing memorable experiences with her sister Mary. She also had a passion for dancing, which was a significant part of her life.
Anna was a devout attendee of St. Dominic’s, St. Mary Magdalene, and St. John Vianney churches, where she participated actively in the community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Florabelle; siblings Irene, Agnes, Paul, and Mike; and nieces and nephews, Johnny Joe, Adam, Natalie, Nahama, and Narrah. Anna is survived by a loving and extensive family, including four sisters, three brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom deeply appreciate the support provided to Anna during her final days.
The MKD funeral home in Wyoming, Michigan, is overseeing the arrangements for Anna's farewell. Her life, marked by generosity and warmth, touched many, leaving a legacy of joyful memories and lasting impact on all who knew her.
