Anna Hermina Elzinga

Anna Hermina Elzinga, age 92, of Walker, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, and granddaughter, Rose. Surviving are her children, Ivan (Joanne) Elzinga, Dale (Neusa) Elzinga, Carol (Dave) Tanis, Linda Elzinga, Kathy (Bobb) Erins, Bob (Vicki) Elzinga, Ken Elzinga; 28 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; four brothers. A private graveside service will be held on Monday morning at Georgetown Township Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Monday 11 am at Hope Protestant Reformed Church, 1580 Ferndale SW, Grand Rapids, with Rev. David Overway officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-5pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hope Protestant Reformed Church. The family wishes to thank the staff at Vista Springs for their compassionate care.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved one. When I think of losing a loved one like you have, it brings to mind the promise that the Bible holds out in Revelation 21:3,4 where it says our Grand Creator Jehovah God will wipe away sickness and death forever and reunited us with our loved one on a clean earth in the near future (John 5:28,29; Psalm 83:18). Although, this sounds to good to be true, we can have confidence in GOD'S WORD the Bible that soon this will be a reality for many families like yours. Knowing that there is a future for our love ones we have lost in death can be so comforting.( John 17:3) I truly hope these scriptures bring you added comfort and you endure this difficult time.
