Anna Boersma

Anna Mae Boersma, age 88, of Grand Rapids,went to her Heavenly home on Monday, October 19, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bernard Boersma. Anna worked at GMAC for many years.  She was a loving, strong Christian woman who served the Lord daily and for many years in Women’s Ministry.  She was such a prayer warrior.  The joy of her life was spending time with her five daughters and their families who will lovingly remember and miss her: Linda (former son-in-law, Richard) Burkhardt, Sharon and Bruce DeFouw, Jerri (former son-in-law, Mike) Faulkner, Denise and Gary James, Debra and Marc Vlietstra;  grandchildren: Brian (Amy) Burkhardt, Kevin (Tracey) Burkhardt, Jeff Burkhardt, Angie (Marc) Arnoys, Alan (Tami) DeFouw, Eric DeFouw, Katie (Ben) Bozek, Michael (Elijah Anthony and sister, Dee) Faulkner, Karli (Matt Walker) Faulkner, Matthew Faulkner, Michael (Jessica) Strickler, Stephanie (Joe) Strickler, Tyler (Brandi) James, Sam (Amber) James, Benjamin James, Jessica James, Jake (Jenelle) Vlietstra, Judd (Alejandra) Vlietstra; and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23, 4 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Harvey Heneveld officiating.  Burial Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 2:30-4 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice or Fair Haven Church.
