Family owned and operated for over 85 years.
With reflective hearts, we share that Ann Myers has been embraced into the presence of her Lord and Savior on August 29, 2025, at the age of 67. Though her earthly journey has closed, her eternal joy has begun.
Ann was born to Robert and Jewell Swanberg in Manistee, Michigan on September 7, 1957. She spent her first five years playing around her father’s marina on Portage Lake. Thereafter, her family relocated to North Fort Myers, Florida where she had grown up into a beautiful young woman. She was a cheerleader, performed as a professional water skier and placed in beauty pageants.
In 1986 she moved back to Michigan, where she met the love of her life. Stan and Ann were a match made in heaven. They were married in November of 1987 and made their home in Rockford. Together they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and enduring love. After raising her children, Ann worked as a realtor in the Rockford community, where she was known not just for helping people find houses, but delighted in guiding them toward finding their home. Of all her joys, Ann’s greatest treasures were her husband and her children, Alessandra (Riccardo), Gabriel, Audun (Madelyn). She poured her heart into nurturing them, surrounding them with love, encouragement, and the strength of her faith. She delighted in their lives and accomplishments, and her prayers for them were steadfast. Her family brought her immeasurable joy.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jewell Swanberg; as well as siblings: John Swanberg, Mary Glidden, Arthur Swanberg. She also leaves behind siblings: Joyce Goodwin, Carl Swanberg, Carolyn Longwell, Roger Swanberg and Donna Swanberg, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Ann loved adventures, camping trips with her family, her gardens, morning coffee in the sunroom, helping and encouraging others and participating in the prayer team at church.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 6, at City Church Rockford, 3233 10 Mile Road, Rockford, Michigan, to honor her life and her faith. There will be an opportunity to meet with Ann’s family one hour prior to the service as well after the service. Until we see her again, we entrust her to the One she loved so faithfully—Jesus, who has received her with joy.
A private burial will be held at Saranac Cemetery, Saranac, Michigan. Memorial donations may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
