Angelita G. Cadena

Angelita G. Cadena, aged 86 of Kentwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Crescencio and Margarita Guerra; and husband, Tomas O. Cadena. She is survived by her children, Beatrice Castro, Robert Cadena (Bob Hall), Teresa Cadena, Oscar (Loretta) Cadena, Joe Cadena (Erik Matheny), Jimmie (Rebecca) Cadena, Adella Cadena, Angelita Cadena; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Maria Cadena; brother-in-law, Johnny (Olivia) Gutierrez; and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed crochet, sewing, bowling and cooking, for which she was particularly known. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 3138 Birchwood SW, Wyoming with Fr. Steven Cron presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
