Angeline Hoekzema

Angeline Grace (Folkema) Hoekzema, age 98, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harm; infant son Paul, son, Harvey Hoekzema; grandson, Mark Hoekzema; daughter-in-law, Frances Hoekzema; son-in-law, Samuel C. Nesselroad. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, David Hoekzema, Arlene Nesselroad, Pamela Schaidt; Daniel and Donna Hoekzema; grandchildren, Christine Hoekzema, Elizabeth and Mark Vander Boom, Andrea and Lynn Thompson, Joshua Hoekzema, Jacob and Katherine Hoekzema; great grandchildren, Everett, Desmond, Andrew, and Frances; step grandchildren, Samuel M. Nesselroad, Shirley Reno; step great grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Ryan; step great great granddaughter, Julia; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mettina and Duwayne Dykehouse, Alberdena DeRuiter, Patricia DeVrou, Ruth Hoekzema; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Angeline was a long-time member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church and most recently a faithful member of Bethany United Reformed Church. She loved her family and being able to socialize with others. A private family graveside service will be held at Grandville Cemetery. A service to celebrate Angeline’s life will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Edison Christian Life Services.
