Ange Elenbaas

Ange Elenbaas, age 81, of Jenison, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 26, 2016, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Raymond; sister, Joyce De Kraker; brother, Calvin Meekhof; and infant sister, Angie Meekhof.  Ange will be lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: Cheryl Roede (Ryan and Heather [Claire and Luke], Kyle and Dayna [Samantha], Tyler); Evan and Ruth Elenbaas (Alyssa and Dave DeMaagd [Joel and Esther], Mark and Abigail [Lydia], Julie and Troy Tamminga, John); Craig and Kathy Elenbaas (Jevan, Jared, Kaelyn, Parker); Lynne and Dave Oosterman (Lindsay and Seth Bellas, Ethan); brothers, Milton and Bernice Meekhof, Donald Meekhof, Carl and Nancy Meekhof; brother-in-law, Harold and Pat Elenbaas; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Shelton and Joan Elenbaas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ange loved helping and serving her family, her faith community at Baldwin Street CRC, and others in need. Her favorite pastime was playing cards with her friends, children and grandchildren. A celebration of Ange’s life will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 30, at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin Street, Jenison with Reverend Sarah Albers officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 6-8 PM at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Unity Christian High School Building Fund.
