Andy Jay Talsma

Andy Jay Talsma, age 33, of Hudsonville, was called to his heavenly home on Monday, July 9, 2018 and is now experiencing joy and peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clare Fongers, George and Joan Talsma. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Vaughn and Cheryl Talsma; sister, Lindy and Alan Groenendyk; nieces and nephews, Natalie, James, Joseph and Jana; grandparents, Ruth and Chuck Dykema, Lillian Talsma; aunts and uncles, Vance and Gwen Talsma, Dave and Barbara Fongers, Terri and Tim Van Eerden, Jim and Anita Fongers; and many cousins. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin Street, Jenison, with Rev. John Witvliet officiating. Inurnment will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.

I did not know Andy much outside of the few times he worked with us on projects at work, however, the few times that I had the opportunity to be there and see him working in his element, I was always in awe of his incredible talent and expertise. Andy was a true master of his trade, a bona fide professional, someone who could be trusted. He was one of a kind, and will be so truly missed among the IT community he contributed so much to over the years. He will be in my prayers.
