Andrew “Andy” Mitchell, age 79, of Wyoming, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 15, 2026. He was born August 19, 1946, to the late Anthony and Mary Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his two brothers-in-law; Nick Noto and Bob Hoogterp; and a nephew; Tony Noto. Andy worked at Keeler Brass for many years before retiring. He enjoyed taking road trips and camping in the back of his truck, going on hikes, spending time at the beach, and he loved eating spaghetti and meatballs. Most importantly, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He will be lovingly remembered by his three sisters, Marian Noto, Rosalie (Ron) Thomet, Carol Hoogterp; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with Rev. Douglas Braun presiding. The burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
